A Photographers ability to put his subject at ease is never more accentuated than when Photographing Babies and Children. Mostly impervious to the Photographers wishes, and insights, Children and Babies generally tend to do exactly as they feel. This is not in it self a Photographically bad thing, for capturing that natural moment of disgust, or joy is ever pleasing to the Photographer. Alas, Mommies don't always share the same sentiment to their Wailing Baby, who they firmly believe will be the next Johnson & Johnson Baby of the Year. Many Photographers opt for taking the Photos in the subjects natural environment. This is wonderful for getting those great natural photos, but it also relies heavily on the Photographers ability to improvise and 'troubleshoot' an unfamiliar and changing environment. Baby and Child Photographs taken in a controlled Studio environment are predictavily more 'stable', and 'result' friendly. The threat of a shoot going stale is also more prevalent in this Photographic Environment. This is however entirely dependant on the Photographers ability to put the subject ease, and extract their natural exuberance.
